snow day!

We had yet another snow day last Friday. This time we actually got quite a bit of snow instead of ice. And it was the good snow. The kinds that you can play with. We stayed inside most of the day since it was coming down pretty hard. I was dubbed the coolest mom on the planet for building this huge fort. The kids spent a lot of time in there....
They took turns guarding their fortress from the evil emperor mommy. Apparently I can build the fort, but I can't play in it.
Isn't she turning into such a lovely little lady? It's hard to believe she will be 6 in a few short weeks...I took a nap... or two. They were short... I promise.Lincoln took pictures of his new ninjago guy. He is in love with the new ninjago lego sets. Both of the boys are. They spend all day talking about which one they are going to earn next.
Same spot.... different time of day.Lincoln wanted me to take silly pictures of him.... so I did. He stuck his tongue out in every single one of them! I told him not to stick his tongue out... so he didn't. Until I pushed the button to take the picture! Stinker winker. I love his huge smile in the fifth picture. He is such a good boy. When they weren't playing in the fort... they were in their rooms or watching television. We have actually cut way down on the amount of tv we watch in our home. It's been nice.We ended the day playing in the snow with Daddy. More on that tomorrow...
As much as I enjoy a good snow day.... I sure hope that was our last one!

We had some fun in the snow on that day too. Nice fort, mine are never so grand! It was nice snow (but I think I have had enough of it for the season). By the way, I saw you fb post... shame on Jeremy! I think I would have cried!

I love snow days. I also love that star quilt on the top of the fort. Did you make it and if so would you share the pattern? I think my favorite picture is the one of you sleeping on the couch with Peter. Just looking at that picture brings back that bone weary tired of a new baby.

I did not make that quilt, Buffy. It was actually a wedding present. I think it's from JC Penney's. :)
