my big day.

I had a pretty low-key birthday this year... but I liked it that way. I don't need as big of a hoopla as I used to when it comes to my birthday. It started normal, getting everyone up and dressed and off to school. I got to go work out with a personal trainer for the first time in the morning (I'm still feeling it! Man, it hurts!) In the afternoon I took the little kids to see Lincoln and Grace practice for their choir performance that would be held later that night. We came home, made a yummy dinner (veggies and halibut) and went back to the school for the concert. These two were so adorable!I managed to get a video of Gracie singing her song, but Lincoln's got deleted. He was on the back row so we couldn't see him at all. I hate it when they do that. Short people in front... everyone knows that, right? I guess not.

Jayne was their biggest cheerleader! She tried to do all the actions with them. It was so cute.
After the concert we came home and opened presents! They spoiled me rotten this year. I got two pairs of flip flops, new mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, a yoga mat and a fabulous new pots and pan set. Not to mention all of the gifts in the mail, facebook messages and e-mail. I was feeling the love. After presents we had cake. I picked a strawberry shortcake cake. My kids were very unhappy with me because none of them liked it except for Graham. Three of them ate a frozen go-gert instead. Whose kids are these anyway? What's not to like? The best part of the day was hearing this over and over. I love my babies so much.

The celebrations continued through the weekend. It was a good birthday. So happy to be 30! Now we move on to preparations for Gracie's birthday in a few weeks. It always sneaks up on me.
