My sister asked me to make a scripture bag for my sweet niece, Millie. She's getting baptized next month (crazy!?!) It was so fun picking the fabrics and making it extra girly for her. It is my first attempt at making something like this and it was tough work. I didn't have a pattern and had to make it up as I went. It is full of imperfections... but I'm happy with how it turned out.

projects.
The one thing that I've had to give up a little bit since having Peter is my creative time. I miss sewing SO much! There just isn't time when you have a little baby that needs you so much. I was able to work on a few things the past few weeks and it's been heaven. What used to take me an afternoon to complete now takes a week or two... but I'll take it!

A friend of ours is having her first little baby boy next month. We've known them for almost four years now and were so excited when they announced they were expecting! It's a little bittersweet because they are our friends that come over to play games with us after our kids are in bed, and I'm not sure that will continue to happen now that they'll have a little one of their own. I made this quilt for her. So simple... anyone could make one of these.
Her nursery is going to have a jungle theme with different shades of brown. I think it turned out adorable!
But not as adorable as this little guy! I think of his uncle Elliot every time he wears this shirt. (he loves motorcycles.)
Up next... a twin size quilt for Jayne's bed.... and then maybe a queen size quilt for my own bed. The first quilt I will make for myself!

I am so excited for the scripture case. :) Want to bring it when you come at Easter so you can see her face? It will only be 1 Sunday after she gets baptized and her scriptures.
Super awesome on both accounts. The scripture case is wonderfully girly and the quilts is beautiful. I love the stripes and you did a great job on fabric selection.
I am so impressed by both projects! Cute! I am amazed you were able to make up that scripture bag pattern.
you did a great job on the scripture bag!
