I'm so grateful to have such good kids and for awesome museums that we never get sick of.

the 'seum.
I decided to be a cool, fun mommy for a day and surprised the kids with a trip to the museum after school one day. It was the first time I have dared go anywhere like this with all five kids... I declare it a success! They had a new exhibit where the kids got to do lots of fun stuff. Like dress up and dance to music in front of a silly mirror...
Jayne could have stayed there all day...
Lincoln enjoyed balancing like he was on a surf board...
Jayne tried jumping rope. For the record... I am so good at this game.
Graham preferred dressing up and dancing when nobody was looking. As soon as he saw the flash of the camera.... he took it off and ran and hid. SO unlike him.
We love the extreme mammal exhibit they have there right now. Too bad you can't take pictures of it... it's really neat. They do let you take pictures inside this giant shell. I tried to get all the kids to get inside it... but they weren't in the mood.
My favorite Graham with his favorite dinosaurs...
Jayne is really good at pretending to be asleep. I mean, really good. She said she was tired and decided to lay down on the bench in the middle of the space exhibit.
Peter is sleeping less and less during the day (a blessing and curse). He stared wide eyed at everything the entire time we were there and didn't make a peep! He's an angel baby, most of the time.
Jayne's favorite part of the museum... freedom! I finally let her roam around with the big kids instead of being buckled in the stroller 80% of the time. Usually when I'm without Jeremy at the museum or the zoo, she is in the stroller so I have one less child to keep track of. She was so happy to be free.
For some reason the kids love to run around this little semi-circle before we head to the car. It's so hard to get them to stop and actually go to the car. This time I got some pretty awesome "oh my goodness she is a crazy woman with way too many kids" stares. I am learning to just ignore them and not let it get to me.
Gracie decided to take some pictures on the way home. I love that little girl....

That looks like the most awesome museum ever. I love Jayne's polka dot shirt. I am just working up to trying to take all my kids someplace besides the library or grocery store and I only have three and my youngest is almost three. But this weekend while Tim is on call, I think I am going to take them to a free day at one of the Boston Museums. The worst that could happen is that I will get horribly lost and wind up giving up and going home or they will be horrible at the museum and I will give up and take them home. It is not like we have anything else to do right, so we might as well give it a try.
