The drive to North Carolina was much easier than I expected it would be. It ended up taking us around 12 hours with stops. The hardest part were potty breaks because everyone would have to get out of the car and that alone took about 10 minutes each time. It was kind of empowering to get in the car with my kiddies and drive all by myself through four states! It makes me excited to go visit other family members within a few states.
Once we got there it was as if we still lived just a few streets away from them. The kids just clicked. They spent so much time playing, laughing and swimming together. I don't think that I broke up one single fight while we were there. Graham and Kate had fun the first day... and then Graham played with the boys for the rest of our stay.
Jayne and Bella had a ball together. They were always off in their own little land of make believe. They are about a month apart in age. I loved finding them up in Bella and
Kates room playing together each day.
Lincoln and Graham introduced Chauncey to Lego Hero Factory guys. Lincoln has missed Chauncey so much since they moved away. It was fun to watch them play together just like old times.

Grace and Kate were
inseparable. They loved dressing up, swimming and having sleepovers each night. The year and a half age difference didn't matter one bit!

Graham's favorite toy in the whole house was the
ipad. We might have to get one of those after we graduate. All of the kids had so much fun with it. Melanie and I enjoyed watching the
Bachelorette finale on it after the kids went to bed!
