in a nutshell.

We had a wonderful Spring Break this week. The kids were amazing. I had to pinch myself several times wondering if this was really my life. I find myself realizing how blessed I am to have these little angel babies in my world. They make me so happy. Here's our Spring Break in a nutshell.

Day one: Gracie planned our day. She handed me a list in the morning that read: "Frst, gem. Secet, chuceches. Thrd, parc. Forth, screpturs. Fefth, dady gams. Last, bed." Read it phonetically and you'll understand. We pretty much followed her schedule and had a wonderful day. Instead of the park, we opted to go to Michael's and get some crafts to do during the week (and during Conference this weekend!) They had some awesome $1 items throughout the store. My kids were in project heaven.
Day 2: Lincoln gave me a list that read: "Wake up. Get dressed. Go to Library. Kidnap Daddy from School. Get Burger King. Go to park. Go to Wal*Mart to buy presents for someone. Go home. Have quiet time. Eat Dinner. Have a movie night." We didn't do everything on his list... but managed to squeeze most of it in. Have you ever tried going to the library with five hyper kids? It's kind of a nightmare.... but we managed.
There is something about this picture that just makes me smile.... They're watching 1960's episodes of Charlie Brown. Lincoln picked that DVD at the library.
Day 3: We spent most of the day at home. Some friends came over for several hours and the kids had a lot of fun playing with them. After they left, we got a big surprise... Daddy came home a little early! We went to the gym together and had a mini-date. One of the perks of having a membership that includes childcare.

Day 4: In the morning I had my first experience with boxing. My jaw dropped when the trainer told me that was what he wanted me to do for my workout that week. I told him I'm a really nice person and this is so out of my comfort zone... but he made me do it anyway. It was actually really fun!

On the way home I asked the kids what they wanted to do that day. They said, "Stay at home and be lazy!" Lovely. It was nice to be home though... they spent some time watching movies... but mostly enjoyed playing with each other in their rooms or around the house. We had a friend over in the afternoon and rented Tangled. I love that show.Day 5: It was Graham's turn to pick what we did. He said, "Play the xbox with Link and go to the Eagle's Nest." Perfect. We spent the morning at home and then we went grocery shopping and the kids played while I shopped with the two youngest. (I can't wait until Jayne is 3 and she can join them in the Eagle's Nest!) No pictures were taken this day.

Can't wait for conference this weekend!

You should have seen the smile on my face when I realized Gracie was wearing one of my headbands.
