birthday girl!

Gracie had such a great birthday. She was spoiled rotten by her friends and family. We started celebrating the day before. I let her open her package from gramma and grampa Christensen so she could wear the new fun clothes to school that day. While she was at school I made her awesome Lalaloopsy cake (thanks, Kristen for helping me!) I have to say it was the easiest cake yet! Later that day I went to her school with the little kids and we shared Gracie's favorite treat with her friends. Chocolate chip cookies with lots of chocolate chips and m&m's too. They were really yummy. Grace had fun passing them out to all of her friends.
After she passed them out her friends sang Happy Birthday to her. It was adorable. They would say, "cha cha cha" after every phrase.
She loved her cake! She oohed and aahed over it for several minutes when she saw it after school. (Notice our good friend Brooklynn in the background... she wanted to be in the picture too!)
The next morning she woke everyone up bright and early at 6 am. You can't say 'go back to bed' to the birthday girl! (Yes, she slept in her clothes from gramma... she loves them!) She got spoiled rotten by her siblings and mom and dad. Lots of lalaloopsy dolls and a few other things.
We had her party in the afternoon (more on that later), a playdate with her best friend in the whole world, and ended with pizza and a movie night. It was a great day.

Jonas & I are looking at these photos of the cake and we are incredibly impressed! All my boys' cakes are flat and 9x13. Hmmm. Max wants to make this cake today- or he said if we don't have time, we could just make half of it. Now Jonas says, "Mom isn't that much into cooking." And Max says, "Just do your best Mom!" I'll quit taking dictation now. The cake is so cute.
