Some people think this story is so so sad... and it is. But it is even more inspiring then sad. Whenever I hear the song, I'm Here... I get chills. The strength that woman had after all that she had been through is incredible. I listen to this song whenever I am feeling down on myself and I need a reminder that I need to be thankful for everything that God has given to me.... and I need to love myself for who I am. I am beautiful.

the color purple.
I had the chance to see The Color Purple again for my birthday this year. It was my third time seeing it and was probably the best performance yet. It even topped seeing Fantasia's performance as Celie a few years ago. The girl that was Celie this time was phenomenal! I loved every minute of it.
