Jayne is a little obsessed with Mickey Mouse... so it seemed only fitting to throw her a Mickey Mouse birthday party this year! Her cakes turned out awesome... I was pretty proud of myself.
She had some last minute breakfast with Daddy before the party started. Can you tell she loves her cakes? Waiting at the door for her friends to arrive...
While we waited for everyone the girls decided to play Ring Around the Rosies. It turned into an all girl party when the boys didn't show up... which made it twice the fun! (just kidding... boys are fun too. One of them showed up near the end.)
Each of her friends recieved a set of Minnie ears when they arrived...
We decided to play three games. Each of them required a Mouse-ka-tool to play them so we had to call our little friend....
TOODLES! Lincoln took his job very seriously. He sang the song and everything. It was pretty adorable.
The first game we played needed binoculars. (Toodles brought those for us.) We hung different shapes around the room and the girls had to search for the match to the one Gracie was holding up.
They really liked this game. I made the binoculars out of styrofoam and tied a minnie bow around them. (The boys would have recieved red ones with a white bow around them.)
I described each game to them before we played and there was always something missing. We'd have to yell, "Oh TOODLES!" each time to get our mouse-ka-tool. The girls all put their hands around their mouths when they called. It was so cute.
The second game was the Hot Dog Dance! We danced to our hearts content. (Toodles brought us the music.)
Here's Toodles in action... he's describing which tools are left.
The mystery mouse-ka-tool was bean bags to help us play our bean bag toss game!
The last tool we needed were the plates to eat our cake on. Jayne was so hilarious when she was blowing out her candles... I think I need to teach her how to blow! I have an awesome video... but I can't get the darn thing to upload.
Lastly we opened presents! She was spoiled with My Little Ponies, a Rapunzel doll, and many other fun things! She is one lucky little girl!
I think it was a big success.... does anyone want some cake? We still have a lot leftover!
