We were lucky enough to be chosen to review some more K'nex products earlier this week. My kids were SO excited when they saw the package! They love free toys! Lincoln got this awesome remote control dinosaur set. As soon as he finished his homework, he went straight to work on it.
It took him about an hour or so to build. He said it was really fun, but not as fun as legos. He got a little frustrated at times because he couldn't get the pieces to stay together.
This is the tail. He said that was the hardest part. Once it was all together, he was excited to make it move. It worked pretty well. It didn't move as much as he had hoped it would, but it did move a little. After playing with it for a few days, he decided that it was really very cool. He took it to an activity to show all of his friends. He said that they actually are almost as cool as Legos. But not quite.
Graham got his very own monster truck set. He was so excited to put it together all by himself... and he could because it said for kids 5+ on the package and since he's 5... he can do it!
He had a little bit of a hard time with a few of the pieces... but managed to get them to go together instead of giving up and asking Lincoln for help.
Two finished monster trucks! Can you see his excitement? He said they are way cooler than legos because he could do it all by himself.
I even caught Lincoln taking them apart and putting them back together! These trucks were a big hit with both of the boys.
We definitely recommend both of these sets. They were very age appropriate for each of my boys and they have played with them so much.
