A few months ago we were looking online and saw that Duran Duran was coming to Cleveland. We jumped on the chance to go. How often do you get to see an awesome 80's band live? Not very often. It was at Playhouse Square, one of my favorite places in Cleveland.
The band that opened for them was called Neon Trees. The name sounded really familiar to me but I didn't recognize any of their music until they sang this one. Love that song. Turns out they are from Provo, Utah and are all members of the LDS faith. Never would have guessed it!Me and my baby. We took several attempts and Jeremy always looked stoned in the pictures! Oh well... we're still cute. I love this man so much. Our marriage has been pure bliss lately. It's wonderful.
DURAN DURAN! They were SO good. They sounded just like they did in their prime.
They had these cool white masks at the top of the stage. During each song they made them a little different.
It was a little creepy when they had their actual faces on them.
Before the show we played this song for our friends. I don't know why... but I think it is hilarious! We were saying how fun it would be if they played it. Well... when they came back for the encore they did! It made my night. SO fun!
They played a good mix of old songs and new songs. Of course I loved all of the older stuff the best. I couldn't pick a favorite though. They were all so good!
It was seriously so much fun. It makes me want to go to more concerts. We had such a good time with our friends.
I took a few videos of my favorite songs (and my favorite dancers... they were right in front of us and danced the entire time!) If you'd like to see them, click HERE.

How fun! Duran Duran was my first concert ever, back in the day. My hubby Kenneth played with the Neon Trees bassist in another band called Monkey Grinder. He's kinda jealous that they went big time, but I told him he wouldn't want to tour anyway, right?? Looks like so much fun-and you two really are a cute couple!
