Lincoln and Gracie started school yesterday! Lincoln is a mighty third grader. Can't believe that.
He was so excited to get a new backpack this year. I was a mean mom and made him use the same one for two whole years. Gasp!

Gracie is a first grader! Hard to believe that one as well... Isn't she beautiful? I love the dress she picked out to wear for the first day.
She got a new princess backpack and lunchbox. She's in heaven!
She was kind of excited about her teacher this year... and really excited about her after the first day. She's already the best helper in the classroom and is sure to be teacher's pet! :)
They insisted on getting pictures taken together after they were all done with their individuals. They really are great friends.
What I love about this picture... Lincoln's genuine smile (hard to come by in pictures these days), Gracie's little diva stance, and my new front door. Love it.
Can you tell who is going to miss her sister?
Lincoln's teacher is really young which we're both very excited about. The first thing he said to me after school was, "She is SO cool!" That made my heart smile. (She's the one in the black dress greeting all of them.)
Gracie was a little nervous to join her friends and stayed near me up until the last second. Her teacher came out and brought them inside so quickly that I didn't get a picture! I was too busy hugging my sweet girl.
Here's to another great year at Oxford!
