palmyra.

We decided that we need to do something fun and spontaneous for Labor Day this year. After talking with the kids on the way to church... we settled on a quick trip to Palmyra. I wish we would have decided it the night before so we could have left right after church... but we didn't. So we hurried home, packed our bags and were on our way. Four hours later and we were checking into the Palmyra Inn. Our kids love hotels. Probably because we let them do things that they aren't allowed to do at home. Like jump on the beds (in moderation), and splash in the tub a whole bunch. ;)Their favorite part of the trip was the swimming pool! Really it was just a giant hot tub. It was wonderful! There was a bench all the way around for them to walk on and the whole thing was only 3 feet deep. Perfect for little people. We just had to make sure they got out every once in awhile so they didn't get too hot. It was so much fun having so much family time! We love our friends... but there is something about doing something with just our little family. I love those times. That night we told them stories about the places we would be visiting the next day. It was so much fun to have a mini-vacation away from everything... and be teaching them so much church history at the same time. I loved every single minute of our trip. I wish we could do it every weekend!
