riding the trains.

The endodontist that is selling Jeremy his practice drives these little trains on the weekends at a nearby metropark.  He invited us to come over and ride his train on Saturday.  We went, and so did half of Cleveland!  The line was so long.  The kids were so cold and grumpy... (check out Peter's awesome fangs!)
Before we were able to get out of the car we found out we were stuck in a mud pit.  We opted to get out of there quick and find a better parking spot... 20 minutes later, we were trudging through the mucky-muck.
There was just enough snow on the ground that someone made two tiny snowmen that were perched up in a tree...
The boys had fun running around trying to stay warm while we were waiting in line...eventually we gave up and headed inside the nature center to get warm.
Luckily they had a fun exhibit and the day wasn't a total waste...
We let Peter crawl around to his hearts content when there weren't very many other people around... he was in heaven!
The fluffy 'snow' tickled his face!
Graham sang his own rendition of "twelve days of christmas" in the mike for all to hear.
Jayne was in charge of our Trouble game board.  I guess it's a lifesize game.  We didn't really follow the rules and just walked around.
Most of it was way to boring for Lincoln... but he did like the telescope (hmmmm... wonder if Santa took note of that.)
Jayne figured out she was just the right size to find some red birds on the ceiling...
Graham did his favorite disco dance in the middle of the hollowed out log.
Peter has this thing with tunnels.  He's afraid to climb through them.  He gets really excited, and then he backs away and won't even try.
We decided to plop him down in the middle of it and see what he would do.  He stayed there for a good five minutes....
before he started to cry... We saved him.  No worries.
Grace took the treasure hunt very seriously...
Jayne made a lot of noise...
And everyone took a turn climbing up the rope/rock wall.
I can see her now... keeping score at some festival 15 years down the road.
Looks who thinks he's getting big enough to walk?!
A few times down the slide and we were ready to go home!
We ran into our friend on the way out and he offered to let us cut in line to take a ride on his train before he headed home for the day, but he thought that would make the rest of the people in line a little frustrated.  So, we opted to take a raincheck and come back another day.
