Last week my best friend and her husband went on an overnight date and had us watch three of their four children. It was so much fun. Their kids and our kids are best friends, so having them over is almost easier than not having them over. My kids are entertained and happy all. day. long. I was feeling ambitious and decided to paint birdhouses with all of them while they were here.
The finished products.... so pretty.
We put bird food in them and nailed ours to the tree in the front yard. We have yet to see a bird eating from them... but I'm sure we will one of these days.
We had fun swimming in our little pool one day, and did a few other projects but most of the time was spent playing together. The boys spent lots of time on the
xbox and the computer...

The highlight for me was driving their brand new Honda Odyssey back to their house for them. I am in love... can't wait to get my own after Jeremy graduates next summer!

Thank you for taking such good care of my kiddos! It was so nice to get away and not have to worry about the kids because I knew they were in good hands!
I don't think my kids really wanted to come home!
