missionaries.
When we first moved out here to Ohio and didn't have callings in the church yet, we spent once a week feeding the missionaries. It was our way of serving in the church until our official callings came. I loved having that spirit in our home so often! In our ward now, we have three sets of missionaries. We wish we could feed them more often... but six mouths is a lot to feed! Recently the mission president made a new rule that they can only eat dinner with the members in their areas. That means that we can only feed one set of sisters.... and we need to do it more often. So, we set a goal to feed them once a week again. It has been a dream! There is nothing like feeling the spirit in the middle of the week, as strongly as you do on Sunday.
Grace loves the missionaries. Loves, loves, loves them. Every time they come she gets so excited. Recently when they come she grabs her Book of Mormon and starts reading it in the corner somewhere. She makes sure that she is visible and makes it obvious to the Sisters that she is reading the scriptures. Sister Waddles (one of my many favorite missionaries) has been wrapping favorite scriptures with her each time she comes. This last time they read 1 Nephi 3:7. It was so fun to watch them have this little exchange in our home. I love living in the mission field!
