change.
Ever since this little guy was born.... things have been a little different at our house.
Laundry has become a bad word. It seems to pile up way more than it used to.
The boys bedroom floor is constantly Lego covered...
Our bathrooms are feeling neglected... they used to get a good scrub down at least twice a week. Now they're lucky if they see the cleaning supplies once a week.
Beds are constantly left unmade before the kids head to school... and remain that way until they crawl into them at bedtime.
And under the beds.... yeah, I just stopped looking. Same with the closets.
Dressers have become catch-alls....
As well as the changing table...
I still make my bed in the morning... yeah for me!
The attic has looked this way for weeks....
I have an endless stream of sewing projects calling my name...
And dirty dishes in the sink has become the norm...
The good news is... while I was taking these pictures, this little guy fell asleep in his crib and has been snoozing for the last two hours. Most of those spots look much better now.
I don't do well with change. I am used to having a semi-spotless home so this has been a huge change for me. I've had to learn what really matters.... spending time with my family, taking care of myself physically and spiritually, serving in the church. Those are the things that matter... not the toys on the floor, the unmade beds... or even the projects. It's a good change. And I'm grateful for how it has opened my eyes.

Oh boy...I don't dare show pictures of MY house then. You're looks wonderfully organized compared to mine!
I started cleaning up our apartment when the younger son turned 3! So don't worry.
(((HUGS))) I know this is HUGE for you. But it makes me feel a teeny tiny bit better. You have a newborn, my youngest is 6, what is my excuse. lol
I am a lot like you, I like my surroundings to be neat and tidy. But honestly, that is real life!
