the zoo.

We are really enjoying our zoo pass this summer. I think we've been once a week since the kids got out of school. It's so big, we haven't even made it around the whole place yet!
We decided to wear hats last time we went... You can tell who likes pictures and who doesn't!

I let each of the kids get a map to make it more fun. They had a blast mapping out where we would go next.We usually go alone... but invited our friends along this time. The zoo is way more fun with friends!

The new elephant habitat is SO nice! It was fun to see the little ones out and about.

The girls had fun making their own elephant trunks along the way...

We found a shady spot for the bird show and ate our lunch before it began...

Lamest bird show ever. This stork was about as cool as it got.

The lady talked way too much and didn't show nearly enough animals. The good news is, she lulled Peter right to sleep with her endless information.

These two were hilarious whenever I asked them to pose for a picture. Most of the time they just ran away... I managed to get a few awesome shots. Can you tell they are best friends?

Grace was ticked that I wouldn't let her ride in the stroller the whole time (she's 6 for cryin out loud!) Eve managed to cheer her up whenever she was sad.

We got to see the butterflies. I think Kristen is the only one that managed to get one to land on her. Maybe it was her shirt...

Graham is not so secretly in love with Kaitlynn. She is so nice to him.

He was an angel baby, as usual. So quiet and content we never had to worry about him.

These two are becoming better friends the more we spend time together. It's funny to imagine that they could get married someday. We'll start the matchmaking early.

They had the cutest baby bears there. Two grizzlies and this adorable brown bear. Gracie said, "Look, Mom! He's praying!" when she saw him.

Checking out the sea lions and seals!

Graham found an awesome caterpillar on the ground. I swear he is going to study bugs one day.

Riding the 'train'.... I mean the tram.

Trying to hide from the pictures....

My favorite 6 month old. He's so sweet...

In honor of the new Elephant Habitat they had painted elephants all over the place. The girls wanted a picture next to this adorable one on the way to the cars. I love the diva poses.

Once again I was reminded of how blessed I am to have so many fun places to go with my kids out here.... and even better---- amazing friends to make memories with!
