We decided to invite our good friends, the Gaskins, over for Family Home Evening last week. We didn't know that we were going to be lucky enough to have Lilly teach us about what to do in a fire for the lesson! She was so adorable. She had made little pictures teaching us every step to take when there is a fire in your home. My favorite was the "Stop, Drop, Rock and Roll!"
After she went through each step, they all practiced rock and rolling and then we had ice cream cones! Later that night her daddy prevented a real fire when he found the boys lamp lying on the boys bed scorching it's way through their sheets! We could have had a serious object lesson on our hands!
